February 2004:
After a long time news from DeReelium ! 2003 was an interesting and exciting year for DeReelium. It saw the sad closing of the Notenkiste, the place where we all met and decided to play together. On a more postive side, we teamed up with a classical string quartett for two gigs, one of them took place in Hannover Opera House ! What an amzing place to play in ! Another amazing place to play is "Harry's Farm Festival" at, you guessed it Harry's farm in the wonderful Wendland area. We had great fun, esp. with Claus the next morning !
Another lovely gig was the full house in Esperde, the picture below shows DeReelium in full flight at Gunnar's brilliant venue.

26th of January 2003:
Happy New Year to you all. We ere so busy we had a hard time  keeping  the website up to date, but one of the New Year's resolutions is to fix that problem.
2002 saw the reappearance of an old band member: Claus Steinort, founding member of DeReelium and one of Germany best irish trad flute players, returned for so many gigs with us that we rewarded him a proper bandmembership. 
Claus took part in the two most exiting gigs last year: In August, we travelled to Schwedt, a place close to the polish border, to do a gig together with Flook, one of the most thrilling bands on the celtic music scene. We had a great time, esp. in the Apfelbäumchen afterwards. In November we played at the Pigeon on the Gate  festival in Münster. It was the 5th birthday party of the renowned Folkworld magazine. For 2003, we  already have a few gigs coming up, so check the Dates section of this website.

11th of December 2001:
Just before Christmas we have updated the dates section with the first dates for next year. Seems that we are travelling a good bit again. We hope you all have some peaceful and merry Christmas and a happy new year and see you around next year at one of the gigs.

Another update on the DeReelium homepage. We have added a guestbook, so that you all may sign it and say hello in an easy way. Go straight to the guestbook, we are looking forward to your comments :-). Also a few updates in the dates section again.

23th of April 2001:
Dereelium is proud to be featured in an article in the April edition of the renowned Irish Music Magazine. You can read about DeReelium and the irish music scene in Hanover and Germany in general. To go directly to the content of the current issue, follow this link. Also, the dates section has been updated with the new gig dates, and some comments from the Irish Music Magazin article have been added to the review page. Also, on the private line, Barbara, our well loved singer and bouzouki player, is no longer called Barbara Steinort, but Barbara Coerdt, since she has married ! Together with Rolf's 30th birthday, we had two great days (and nights) in a row full of music. And what a great time we had !!

5th of February 2001:
Dates section has been updated with some more dates for 2001, incl. Gigs and Workshops. DeReelium is going to Austria, for the first time and we all look forward to the Folkfestival Gutenbrunn.

23rd of December 2000:
DeReelium is featured in an article in the online folkmagazine Folkworld. The article is available in english or german and gives detailed information about Dereelium and of the irish session scene in Hannover and Germany. You may win one of four DeReelium CDs at the end of the article....
Talking about sessions: DeReelium hosts a session in Hannover's Irish Harp every Sunday afternoon (from 5 pm onward). check the dates section for details...

23rd of February 2000:
DeReelium has now returned back to stage! The first live gigs planned are now listed in a new section called dates. There you can also find out about Rolf's bodhran workshops.

19th of October '99:
You can now listen to samples of all tracks. These samples are in real audio format and are really fast!

13th of October '99:
There are now four sound files available in the CD section. These files are in MP3 format. So if you want to check out "Millvalley", you are welcome to do so!

6th of October '99:
Well, after all, the CDs arrived with a little delay! There were no CDs to sell at the release-party, but it was all great craic anyway. So anybody wishing to own a copy of "Millvalley" can get it now. The webmaster writing these lines is kinda busy these days, so you'll probably have to wait till next week to here audio samples of the album. But then, big promise...

2nd of October '99:
Eventually, DeReelium have made it! DeReelium's CD "Millvalley" is being released in Hannover at the Schwesternhaus, an almost legendary place that does not have anything to do with a convent anymore, but it disposes of quite a remarkable amount of mad vets, concertina players and other funny folks. Check out the CD "Millvalley" in the "CD" section!

29th of September '99:
DeReelium have moved their website to a new server — and to a new domain, as you'll probably have noticed: www.dereelium.de is the address of DeReelium's new home on the internet. There is a lot of more stuff to come: audio samples in different formats, DeReelium's own compositions music sheets, an online shop, a guest book maybe (would you like that?), big time merchandising, online auctions, DeReelium concert live cams, etc... Or maybe not all of that, but as said, there is a lot of useful content awaiting you in the next few weeks, so watch out!
